One of my favorite quotes is in the Steve Jobs' speech :
"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
The second "commencement speech" is just awesome !
For commencement speeches and political speeches, I haven't watched many of them.
I like Jim carrey's style, he takes some time to begin but finishes strong, never a dull moment.
As far as political speech go, I think "I have a dream" makes it to the top. I like churchill's speeches too, but most of them are audio only.
For speakers, I like Michael Stevens (Vsauce), he is really compelling and dynamic.
I would also like to shed light on Bruce, he is the guy that does "e-penser" a French youtube channel.
I find his style very peculiar. He likes to interact with the public, he doesn’t care about being perfect, he has a very casual clothing style (he has an unconditional love for T-shirts).
It makes me think, Bruce is French, and I know I tend to have trouble having an expressive body language (particularly the face) and an expressive voice in English whereas that's no problem in French.
@vvanedwards Is there any studies on how the accent impacts the comprehension, the attention span, the information retention, the "likes" ? Does someone that speaks another language than its native language appear more intelligent because he can speak it, or less intelligent because he doesn't have exact words and sometimes makes mistakes ?
