After watching Vanessa's vidoe #2, or actually during the viewing I knew exactly what my mission is - *To Help People - women in particular - to be as confident, independent and successful as they can be!
Here is more of my story as to why:
I have experienced a long journey to become the person I am today. I set goals when others had excuses why not, I followed those goals and met them. This tenacity did make me successful in my field but it was all business focused and the people I helped were managers and directors to deliver great projects (obtaining a PMP was one of my goals). I love people and variety so this fit well for me. I climbed a ladder that was in front of me.
I learned I give off a vibe that draws others to me to tell their stories and ask advice. I share my own stories which helps me connect with them. I took both of Vanessa's online courses via Creative Live and this awakened a whole new area for me that I could learn from. I have done presentations to other professionals and enlightened family members with the new found knowledge. The Science of People grabs others' attention and they are more open to my words. I am far more clumsy than Vanessa of course, so would like to know how to do this teaching well.
I am an engagement practitioner and have taken many coaching classes now. These coaching classes along with body language has reawakened a passion in me that I've not had for a number of years. I feel I can really make a difference to others' lives, particularly women by spreading the facts of body language.
The reason I desire to help women is because I know the trial it can be to gain success in the business world and also allow our brain to believe others are judging us negatively. Perception along with emotion and empathy can stifle one's path to success. Women need to learn how to maneuver in this world and this begins with confidence. I am a gentle feminist honestly. I love helping men too - I just love seeing women make their mark. After all the advances society has made in this area it is sad to see young women stuck in the same rut in relationships and careers. I want to show them they can feel strong, be independent and be successful in all areas of their lives.
