@elliemccrary, I find inspiration in music. (one thing I was secretly proud to have in common with @vvanedwards) I make it a point to listen to music that inspires me if I am driving to a class, interview or anyplace I need confidence. My favorite one is Eye of the Tiger. Another one I really like is Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, Zombie (somehow) by the Cranberries.
Other than that, I try and get pep talks from the strong career minded people in my friend circle. We have this thing, where we give each other pep talks when required. They'll remind me my goals and how lovely it could be if I could achieve it.
Another thing that inspires me, is competition. When I go to class, I have this need to do well. Whether or not I speak in class, I need to know in my head that I knew the answer to the question my professor just asked. Or I considered the point of view my classmate mentioned to add to the discussion going on in class. That really makes me feel empowered.
I suffer with a really low self-esteem otherwise and have been told by countless counsellors that I have borderline ADHD, which is where the low self esteem roots from! So, doing these things I have been working upon myself. I have come a long way, but there's a long road ahead of me too.
Hope this adds to your insight hunt!
