Does anyone else use reminder apps to signal them periodically to pay attention to body language? I just started using one such app, BlipBlip, which issues a short tone at intervals I set anywhere from 1 minute (no way!) to 1 hour. One hour works well for me. I use the audible tone to snap me out of my thoughts and into the present moment so I can concentrate on the body language of those around me. I often leave my desk for a short lap around the office so I can encounter other people and study their body language.
I'm sure there are many other similar apps, but this one is simple and, so far, it's proven very helpful in forming a habit of pulling out of my thoughts and placing myself squarely in the present so I can hone my people skills.
Anyone else use an app or other reminder method to help them with body language observations?
