I'm mulling over the "messaging" and imagery of logos. I'm thinking about designing one for myself that I might be able to use in the future, possibly for a small business or something.
I know I want to use a lion, but I can't figure out if I want to go with a "heraldry" style lion, or one that looks more like a drawn lion.
As far as the heraldry lions, I like the Lion Statant, Lion Sejant, and Lion Couchant, though I am not averse to the Lion Rampant. If I were to go for a "drawing" of a lion, I would probably look for a similar pose.
So what does a lion in the various poses communicate to you? What if it's on a shield? I have an idea of what color scheme I want to use, I'm more interested in the "communication" of the imagery here.
