I think by far this has been my favorite day, and I'll tell you why. This day stood out to me because of the talk about the senators and that that person should impress you.
I have been a personal trainer for about 3 years, specializing in kettlebells. There have been 2 people that have impressed me through the years. I will share what impressed me the most about these people.
The first person. This student has gone through a lot of adversities (though I won't get into details) what impressed me the most was her drive. When I first met her she went through a women's program that my gym had offered. The people who taught were me, the owner and a female trainer. After the women's program, I worked with her in the morning had made great progress in her workouts working and one day she told me she had an injury and had to have her membership on hold. I told her that once she gets comes back we will retest and find a new baseline and go from there. I had worked with her a few more times before some personal issues arose and she had to cancel her membership. When I heard this I sent her a text. I told her that I really enjoyed working with her and I admired her hard work and dedication. This student really impressed based on her dedication and took on all the challenges that I presented to her. Everything from doing standard single and kettlebell workouts to kettlebell juggling(yup, I've learned and taught people who gone through my classes on how to juggle kettlebells).
The second person that impressed me was a friend who overcame cancer. If there is one person I would have seen dedication, it would be this student that one of the gym owner and I worked with him. He was one of the strongest people that overcame diversity. He surprised me one year when I was attending a 3-day kettlebell certification that I had to recertify for. With the year that I prepared for this course, didn't compare to when I saw a friend come to his first certification. He had been working with the gym owner and me for 3 years, he was as ready as he could have been. When my friend and I talked he told me that this trip for him was not planned and decided to attend. It was then I told him that it was great that we could both be here. Since that certification he and his wife has opened a gym of their own.
The many things that my friend who took the certification alongside me was, his attitude of reaching out and taking chances and regardless of the obstacles that face him he was able to succeed.
