[Optimizing Personality in progress]
[Initiating Personality sequence]
[Initiate Mission Impossible Theme]
Building on my previous response from my long short answer of Day 10, I think my mission if I choose to accept it, is to try to be there for people. With my trait of High Openness and Agreeableness, I'll attract more people who need someone to lend them an ear or just be there. There have been times when I am in the room and people see my non-verbal and said thank you. An example of this was when I managed a Subway sandwich store more than 10 years ago. I had a customer comment to me that at the times I was working it made a difference. I told him thank you.
More recently, I helped a client move better. He had been in a motorcycle accident and had one of his legs replaced with a prosthetic. He had gone to PT for over a year and he had no results. I worked with him focusing on movement patterns for 6 to 8 months and within that time frame, his movement has significantly improved. He is grateful that he can now get off of the floor without using his hands. Being on the High Openness spectrum, my optimization occurs automatically and it is not one of those things I consciously think about, it just happens. There is no good or bad in this situation and their reaction is their reaction. It might have just taken that situation to release it. I was given a nickname from a friend, she called me the Rooter-Rooter of energy, hahaha.
My aha moment was the 5 big trends. I found it interesting on the Men v. Women spectrum where women have a higher neuroticism, and agreeableness and openness to feelings compared to Men who show higher assertiveness and openness to ideas. I would have thought that the ideas and feelings would have been switched but the main personality characteristics would have been similar. because on the woman's side because they have to prove they can compete with the men in a more competitive arena, that women would need to push more ideas to be heard more often so their neuroticism would be at a higher level.
On the men's side, to their persona of the tough guy mentality, feelings would be more on the front end.
Well, that's my thought anyway.
That was it's the computer nerd in me. I heard opportunity knocking and I had to answer.
