I thought her videos were interesting at first, but then started questioning them when she did a video analysis of Martin Shkreli. If you don’t know who he is, he is a former hedge fund manager who has been charged with defrauding investors. Martin is also the former CEO of a drug company. When he botched a high-dollar trade, instead of being truthful with investors, he lied to them about losing their money and then embezzled money from his drug company to pay back investors. He has been charged with securities fraud and is currently in jail. When Bombard did a interview analysis of Shkreli, she actually seemed to like the guy saying he was a very confident and visual thinker. Now her video was before Martin was recently jailed, maybe she has a different opinion of him now, but I think it goes to show that she is no real, professional judge of character. As someone who is in the financial planning and public accounting industry, I think Martin is despicable. I have a client who has a master’s degree in psychology and is a retired FBI agent. We have both talked about Martin and she thinks the guy exhibits some classic signs of anti-social personality disorder. Other physiologists have said the same thing on TV. Bombard is just doing this as a hobby, she even says in her video descriptions that they are “strictly her opinion”. I think they are sometimes interesting to watch but should be watched for entertainment only and not real analysis.
