Do you know if there's any research on body language and sign language?
I think I heard somewhere that people who know sign language (ASL, BSL, SSL... whether they are deaf or not) have an tendency to be better at interpreting people's body language, facial microexpressions, and even know when somebody is lying.
In my opinion, this makes sense. I'm beginning to study Spanish Sign Language and I've realised that facial expression is crucial, to the point where a specific sign can mean two different things depending on the face.
Hope to hear your opinion
